Founded in 2019 by filmmakers Gabriel Casdorph & Gabe Martinez after nearly 20 years of writing, directing, and producing entertainment independently, Doomsday Initiative, LLC. is a production company specializing in all things comedy.
Their first project under the Doomsday banner is the feature film, He’s Dead & So Am I. Finished in 2021, the film is an irreverent romp through the Utah wilderness with a pair of degenerate ghosts leading the way, but we’ll get into that later.

In 2003, the boys met in Washington state before finishing up their graduate work with Casdorph going into production & performance while Martinez went into marketing & creative writing. The two spent the better part of a decade honing their skills and working on each other’s projects while they built relationships with creatives and corporate thought-leaders along the way. The fruits of those efforts resulted in content created for MARS, VEVO, KONG, BYU TV, MERCK, HELLO & CO., SPECTRUM BRANDS, STUDIO C, AMERISOURCEBERGAN, and more.
Campaigns have launched, commercials made, shows developed, and scripts have been optioned, but it was the process of making and selling their first feature that gave both Casdorph & Martinez the education needed to finally venture out on their own and build Doomsday Initiative. Countless hours of sleep lost is your gain.
Features may be our first love, but we’ve still got eyes for the Commercial space.
Movies take a LONG time to make and in between those breaks, we like to keep busy to ensure our creative muscles stay limber.
